This session drills down to specifics about first impressions and how important they are in your ability to genuinely bond with your customers and fellow colleagues. Chez will reveal how you can make a much stronger first impression by tapping into what truly makes you a genuine professional. Explore how you can create meaningful bonds with others by becoming an active listener who listens to understand all those around her. This session will separate the myths from the truths. You will discover a methodology for improved communications which effectively builds relationships, strengthens rapport, and solidifies trust with anyone.

Simple, tested ideas enhance what students learn at school. Real-life examples and accessible techniques empower immigrants (employees, students, etc) work on their English outside the classroom.

Chez escaped oppressive communist Poland at age 25, spent 6 months in a refugee camp in Austria, and started life in America with nothing and no knowledge of the English language. After a decade working at low-paying jobs, he discovered education - the bridge to a better life in this land of opportunity. While working full time, with 2 children at home, and only English basics, he earned a 2-year degree as a computer programmer from Hennepin Community College in MN, then finished a 4-year degree in 3.5 years with a GPA of 4.0 from the Concordia University in St. Paul. He started 2 companies (Kids’ Express Train, LLC – a company that helps children develop speech, and 1Moment, LLC – his speaking and writing business). Today Chez is an award-winning writer, professional speaker, and business man. Chez knows what it takes to succeed. His lessons are delivered to students, faculty, parents and community to follow and realize their dreams. Chez says, “In America, anything is possible." We need to "Choose hope and get busy.”
